FAQS

Navigating Divorce & life Transitions

When should I involve a financial advisor during divorce?

The earlier, the better. Engaging a financial professional before or during divorce can help you understand trade-offs, model outcomes, and avoid decisions that may have long-term consequences.

Do you work with divorce attorneys and other professionals?

Yes. We frequently collaborate with family law attorneys, mediators, CPAs, and other professionals to ensure financial decisions are coordinated and well-informed.

Do you offer CDFA® services?

Yes. We provide Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA®) services through a separate, fee-based entity, allowing clients to engage us specifically for divorce-related financial analysis without requiring an ongoing wealth management relationship.

Can CDFA® services be standalone?

Absolutely. Many individuals work with us solely in a CDFA® capacity during divorce, while others transition into a longer-term advisory relationship after the divorce is complete.

How do you support clients during the emotional side of divorce?

Divorce is both a financial and personal transition. While we are not therapists, we approach our work with empathy, patience, and clarity—helping clients feel grounded and supported as they make important decisions.

What types of divorce planning do you help with?

We assist with financial projections, asset division scenarios, cash-flow planning, and long-term outlooks, always with an emphasis on sustainability and life after divorce.

What happens after the divorce is finalized?

For many clients, the post-divorce period is when thoughtful planning matters most. We help clients reorganize, rebuild, and move forward with confidence, financially and personally.

What if I feel overwhelmed or unsure where to start?

That’s completely normal. You don’t need to have answers before reaching out. Our role is to help bring clarity and calm to a complex moment.

Is my situation confidential?

Yes. Discretion and confidentiality are fundamental to our work, especially during sensitive life transitions.

What happens in the first meeting?

The initial conversation is a relaxed, no-pressure discussion to understand your situation and determine whether working together feels like the right fit—for both sides.
