Earlier this season, Megan had the chance to experience a unique moment in college athletics. With several West Coast universities joining the traditionally Midwest-based Big Ten Conference, Michigan State University—Megan’s alma mater—traveled to Los Angeles for a first-time matchup against USC.
The game took place at the historic LA Memorial Coliseum on September 20th, and Megan brought her children to share in the experience. As an MSU alum, it was a big deal to see the Spartans play on the West Coast, especially with her oldest son now attending Michigan State himself.
Before kickoff, they joined over 1,200 fellow Spartans at a spirited tailgate, where Megan connected with MSU President Kevin Guskiewicz and his wife, along with longtime friend and Board of Trustees member Renee Knake Jefferson and her husband.
For Megan, it wasn’t just about football; it was about legacy, connection, and being part of something bigger. Whether you're a sports fan or not, moments like these remind us how meaningful it is to show up, celebrate community, and create lasting memories with the people we care about.
